Executive Summary

For the vast majority of the large corporates who participated in the study, the impact of the geopolitical Ukraine-Russia crisis currently has a very limited impact on their companies’ business. Nonetheless, 19% of them expect this crisis to have high or very high risks on their activities, and an additional 14% are uncertain in regards to the potential impact. For corporates who anticipate specific risks on their transaction banking activities, about a quarter of them mention risks related to the volatility in energy prices and 18% mention uncertainties in FX markets.

Methodology Feedback gathered from large corporates across Asia, Europe and the United States via online questionnaire. Questions focused on understanding the impact of Russia-Ukraine crisis on corporates and particularly their transaction banking businesses. Insights collected from mid-March to mid-April 2022 with 183 corporates.
